A brilliant foil / alternative to Prossecco with added bubbles and liveliness . This great little bubbly hails from the North east of Italy and puts to shame many of the local sparkling Pinot Gris that have originated in the last couple of years..From the ethos of "what do we do with our overcropped and unwanted ' Pinot gris grapes ! This is clean as a whistle and trully refreshing . Well worth a try .
The Italian Pinot Gris is quite different to the wines from New Zealand. The wines are light and fresh and are perfect for sunny days outdoors. This wine is just right for such occasions.
Three 1/2 Stars - Joelle Thomson
"A taste of Italy in a bottle of beautifully good value Chianti, led by gorgeous sweet fruit flavours intermingling with savoury spicy aromas in every sip" Joelle Thomson
"Bubbly fans should beat a path to atleast half a case of this great value sparkling wine from Italy" Joelle Thomson.
"The nose on this appealing wine is gently fragrant displaying citrus, floral and a touch of
nutty characters. It's refreshing and softly textured on the palate with crisp acidity and a lingering juicy finish" Sam Kim
This Chianti is such a beautiful example of this noble Italian wine. Colour: lively ruby red with violet reflections. Nose: fruity with aromas of ripe red fruit. Palate: fresh, savoury and well balanced, it has a good structure. A wine to match with every course, it is particularly suited for white meats and pasta.
