2 out of 2 customers rated this wine as good value for money.

"Fresh, smooth, spicy and soft, this Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon was made from grapes grown in Chile’s Valle Central and it’s a great little intro’ to what red wine is all about, thanks to its medium body and firm but balanced moderate tannins. These provide structure and a little interesting rigidity to the wine’s texture, without being overly challenging. Its black fruit aromas and spice clearly put Cabernet Sauvignon’s personality forward and it has a medium finish" - Joelle Thomson

Chingol (Chile) 2015 Carmenere

1 out of 1 customers rated this wine as good value for money.

"It’s easy to be seduced by this wine from the first sip, which tastes ripe, dark and impressively flavoursome with aromas of blueberry, blackberry and licorice; all of which suggest a warm climate and a late ripening grape – which is exactly what Carmenere is. It originally hails from Bordeaux in the south west of France, where only a smidgeon remains. Today, Carmenere is most plentiful in Chile. This is outrageously good value for money and a super tasty drop too with big smooth tannins, high but balanced acidity, ripe soft dark fruit flavours and a medium finish." - Joelle Thomson

Chile is the global home of Carmenere and Winesale.co.nz is excited to present these sensational wines. Our MO is to deliver the best wines for the best price and these exclusive wines are without a doubt incredible value for money!

We know what your saying "Why would I buy imported new world Pinot Noir when we already have the best Pinot Noir right on our doorstep?"

Well we could answer by saying Michel Torino have been growing grapes in the Cafayate Valley in Argentina since 1892. We could also say that Cafayate Valley is 1700 metres up in the Andes and has an incredible climate where the temperature variaton between day and night is as high as 22 degrees celsius. Ideal conditions for producing wines with intense varietal flavours. Or... we could just say nothing and make you stump up with the cash to find out for yourself why our tasting panel just couldn't say no to this wine.

86 Points and Best Buy - Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Four Stars  "Great value at this price" Joelle Thomson
Shiraz, Shiraz, Shiraz - why do we love you so much? Power, intensity, blackberry and pepper, chocolate and espresso, licorice and aniseed, juiciness and warmth. You're the all round great red wine and we can't get enough of you.

This dark, handsome Argentine Michel Torino (pronounced Me-shell Torino) is grown high up in the Andes which contributes to its intense brooding complexity. Take this wine out for a night of excitement for just $13.99.

4 Stars - Joelle Thomson "Spain rocks when it comes to reds under $15 and wines such as this one highlight this fact with its highly drinkable, highly affordable attributes. This is an unconventional blend of Tempranillo (Spain’s answer to Pinot Noir) and Cabernet Sauvignon; which adds firm backbone with 10% of the blend in this lovely medium bodied, refreshing and soft spicy red. Great value and great drinking now" Joelle Thomson
Commended - International Wine Challenge 2014

Bronze Medal - International Wine and Spirits Competiton  2014
Bronze Medal - Decanter Magazine 2014

An outstanding Crianza from the Utiel Requena denomination in Valencia. Crianza wines are aged for two years before release with at least 6 months in oak. This is premium aged wines at a bargain basement price.
Delicious aroma of red cherries and vanilla. Medium-bodied and juicy red fruits flavours are supported by soft tannins and a toasty wood character. We can only do this price because we import directly from the producer.

A superb French bubbly made using the same traditionelle technique to make Champagne. Made by a family which has been making  sparkling wine in Burgundy since 1898! If you are looking to impress but do not want to spend Champagne $, this is your wine. We give it a big thumbs up on quality and value.
