Silver Medal - New World Wine Awards 2013 (2012 Vintage)
Clearwater Cove Chardonnay 2013 exhibits lifted stone fruit, melon, pineapple and nutty flavours. The palate is savoury and full, finishing with a crisp, refreshing finish.
"A wine already showing gold medal qualities, deft in its fruit definition and with a positive regional statement. Well-fruited, tasting ripe, low yielded in tonnes-per-hectare and opening up perfectly." Peter Saunders
A lighter styled, elegant Pinot Noir, with ripe wild strawberry and raspberry flavours on the nose and palate. Soft silky tannins and subtle French Oak influences, provide an excellent balanced wine, with a dry lingering finish.

It 's an understatement to say our customers love this wine! And why not - the wine is vibrant and juicy with excellent ripe varietal tastes and crisp refreshing acidity on the finish. Five Oaks produce single vineyard wines from one of the choicest locations in th upper Moutere region. This is a sensational Sauvignon Blanc that will foot it with Marlborough Savy's which are twice the price. Just ask our customers
Our latest "Art Series" Pinot Noir. This beautiful Pinot Noir is made by one of the most awarded producers of Pinot Noir in Martinborough - the Prince of Pinot. A nickname he rightly received for consistently making some of the best Pinot Noirs in New Zealand.
A lovely fruit driven Pinot Noir from Martinborough. Nice ripe red cherry aromas followed through on the palate with a juicy flavour of good pinot character and light oak to balance. Soft and moreish.
The painting is from the very talented Belinda Griffiths. Her work has such a natural aura, solitude and intensity - monochrome yet you can feel colour by looking at it. "Breathe" was chosen by as the Winesale.co.nz Art Series winner at the 2011 New Zealand Art Show.
Cellar 9 is our very own "house brand". We will always source tasty, reliable, value for money wines for Cellar 9 because we want you to be impressed with the wine you get for the money you pay. Fresh and zingy, this 2012 Sauvignon Blanc is a superb example of the quality of the 2012 vintage.
True to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc style, this wine is a fresh, crisp wine with red currant and tropical characters.
Amazing Hawkes Bay Merlot from the Cellar 9 team. This is a young wine but clearly shows already what a great vintage 2013 has been for the Hawkes Bay. This is a medium weight Merlot which will develop well in the bottle from here. The wine exhibits dark forest fruits with a lovely oak background. Easily drunk on its own or match with red meats and pasta dishes.
Huge savings on this delicious Nelson Gewurztraminer.
Nelson has a reputation as the home of aromatic wines in New Zealand and this wine is perfect testament to that. A highly scented, fragrant wine with lovely weight and intensity of rose petals, ginger & lychee followed with a luscious palate and a smooth, lasting finish.
A true aromatic wine witch matches perfectly with Asian dishes or blue cheese & spiced figs. Perfect for your local Asian BYO restaurant.
16.5+ /20 Points, Raymond Chan
An outstanding example of Nelson Pinot Noir.
Dark, deep, youthful, black hued and ruby-red in colour. The wine has a deep black berry and plum fruited bouquet that is fresh and vibrantly expressed. On the palate, medium-light bodied with 14% alcohol. Very nice vibrant black berry fruit and dark plum flavours. The tannin extraction is moderate and provides a soft, supple and smooth texture allowing immediate enjoyment.
One of our most well supported Pinot Noirs. Unrivaled in New Zealand at this price.
16+ Points - Raymond Chan "This has a fresh nose with gently concentrated aromas of white stonefruits, honesuckle and apricot kernels, still to unfold more interest. Off-dry to taste and light-bodied, clean and soft flavours of stonefruits and honey show on the front palate. The mouthfeel is balanced with soft acidity and the residual sugar, and the wine is harmonious in texture." Raymond Chan
Nelson is fast becoming the "home" of New Zealand aromatic wines. This single vineyard Pinot Gris is a delicious example of how good they are.
