Gold Medal-Concours de Bordeaux
Deep ruby with violet highlights. A fruit-filled nose with notes of cherry, plum and cocoa. Rich and supple with blackberry flavours and sweet tannins.

Cardinal red with deep purple hues. More fruit then expected from a Bordeaux wine. A complex nose with blackberry, coffee and cedar aromas. Good tannins with coffee and licorice tones underlying the great cassis of this wine.

Aromas of Blackcurrant and plum mixed with scented woods and leather introduce a dark chocolaty palate with overtures of spiced fruit.  A wine that is silky and lingering on the palate.

 Pinot Noir from the ‘Eaton', ‘Calrossie' and ‘Cowley' vineyards, hand-picked, fully destemmed and fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 11 months in oak. Light ruby-red colour with some depth, faint purple hues on rim. The nose is softly full with aromas of dark cherry and raspberry fruit along with red floral perfumes and fresh herb notes, and a touch of reduction. 

 The "John Henry" Pinot Noir is named after and inspired by Rockys 93 year old father who helped us in the vineyard until he was 91 - WWII pilot, keen gardener and always eager to lend a hand.
