Gold Medal - Speigelau International Wine Competition 2015
5 Stars - "A blend of grapes from Gibbston and Bendigo districts, this gorgeous pinot is filled with dark cherry, blueberry and floral with subtly infused cedary oak. It’s concentrated and rounded with superb intensity, beautifully framed by plenty of fine, cocoa tannins. The wine is silky and flowing, and immensely appealing. At its best: now to 2022." - Sam Kim
A mix of 3 different sub-regions which together provide a perfect ratio of balance & complexity showing Central Otago at its combined best. The Bendigo fruit gives the wine ripe berry flavours & structure; Gibbston provides bright acidity, length & gentle floral notes. Adding Bannockburn has given the extra lift & provides sweet fruit characteristics. 2014 was a riper vintage than the 2013 & has incredible balance with ripe juicy blackberry fruit & a touch of aniseed. Instantly appealing, generous & rich in flavour and weight.
