Malbec is synonymous with Argentina. A country that inspires tango and flamboyance.
This wine is dark in colour, big and gutsy on the nose (Black plum and tobacco). In the mouth, the tannins are grippy but sweet, black fruit overides all. Deliciously integrated oak.
A must, surely.

Westie Wino (Waitakere) If you want a change from shiraz or cabernet savignon and want a nice full flavoured wine with body give this a try. The review said dark in colour but I found it had a lovely bright red colour in the glass and nice powerful nose.
We had it with spinnach and ricotta canneloniwith a tomato based sauce and matched very well Permalink
