A dash of Viognier was fermented with Shiraz to create this full-bodied shiraz with notes of ripe cherry, plum and cinnamon. The Calabria Shiraz shows all the hallmarks of this traditional European blend.

Westie Wino (Waitakere) Drank last night with spicy homemade beefburgers, a perfect match.
Rate this as great value for money and outperforms a rival Shiraz Viognier that sells at the supermarket for just over $20. Permalink

Chris Shared this bottle with friends and they were all impressed by the quality. On tasting it has a fairly deep start with a spicy/peppery finish - it's a bit of 'journey'. Would certainly recommend this wine, but in terms of our standard table wine we tend to favour the Evenwood Shiraz as it is a bit fruitier (so works well with a greater variety of foods). Certainly if you've got a nice steak or roast, this bottle would be work great. Permalink

Harry Jewiss It cost more than I usually pay but it is worth it. I have found that the NSW reds usually do not have the same depth of taste as the South Australian ones but warn South Australia look out they are getting good. Permalink
