Organic Wine
This is a charming well fruited red. Showing rich ruby with purple hues, this wine has an appealing fruit driven bouquet of red berry fruit and spice layered with subtle cedary oak and nice pepper notes. The palate reveals ripe plum and chocolate characteristics with soft silky tannins and integrated spicy notes. The mouth feel is rounded with fine chalky tannins, intense red fruits and a pleasantly dry lingering finish. A very nicely balanced wine.
Merlot (40%), Malbec (40%) & Cabernet Franc (20%), Cellaring: 4 to 8 years from year of the vintage.
The “Lone Oak” 2008 shows a large spectrum of aromas that makes it a quite versatile wine in terms of food matching. Its ideal partner would be a slow roasted lamb rack and seasonal vegetables or a grilled sirloin steak and wild mushroom sauce. The intensity of the red fruits in this wine would also go well with duck breast and red berry sauce. The cheese lovers will enjoy it with a mature brie or camembert.
