A gorgeous red from Italy, spicy rich and tasty, this wine is a perfect pasta partner.
A full flavoured, robust red from the Abruzzo region of Italy's Adriatic coast. The wine is full of succulent juicy plum and black cherry characters with hints of bitter chocolate and spice.

Based on the tasting notes and given the comment about its spicy character we went away from a traditional pasta dish and tried this with Cajun 'blackened' fish. What a great match the wine complimenting the heat of the cajun fish perfectly. Try this wine for a change from shiraz or cabernet blends, will definitely reorder.

Deep purple in color, with cherries, plums, and pepper on the nose. This wine is definitely tannic and works best with food rather than on its own. We had it with pasta and it worked pretty well. Good value for the price, but nothing overly unique about this wine. Basically a good red food wine.

Dry with good layers. Easy to drink, especially with pasta.

Three Stars "Hot value from a hot climate." Joelle Thomson
When it comes to getting fantastic Shiraz at bargain prices - the Riverina in New South Wales is top of the field. This region makes superb easy drinking wines loaded with ripe fruit - at $9.99 this wine really over delivers.

Merlot has gotten a bad rap as of late but there is no denying the wine's appeal. Packed with deep, dark berry fruit and nuanced hints of cocoa, herb and earth with a soft structure. Its velvety texture makes Merlot instantly appealing and an obvious alternative to similar, more tannic Bordeaux varieties.

A Gimblett Road single vineyard wine, 70% aged in French barriques. Bright, scarlet in colour, this has a full, deep bouquet of minerals, black fruit, red beries, licorice and earthy notes. Dry and full-bodied at 13.5% alc., this has bold, open leathery and cigar like flavours black berry with nutty,  and oaky nuances. A fruit expressive wine, this is a solid and robust Merlot that has  length of flavour.
