Four Stars - Joelle Thomson
"Malbec is the red that defines Argentina with its big, bold, intensely dark fruit flavours. It’s an outstanding wine at this price – offering not only value, but fabulous intensity in flavour, colour, aroma and wow factor." Joelle Thomson
Four Stars - Warren Barton
"Juicy rare steak screams out for wines like this one from beneath the Andes in northern Argentina. And so does anyone with a taste for malbec that is awash with blackberries spiked with chocolate and seasoned with pepper. A concentrated, cuddly red that represents great value for money." Warren Barton
A simply beautiful red wine from Argentina. We have scored a major coup securing this premium wine at an unbelievable price point.
Malbec is one of the traditional "Bordeaux varietals", having characteristics that fall between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Famed for its deep color, ample tannin, and lovely plum-like flavours - this Michel Torino (pronounced Me-shell Torino) Malbec is a fantastic example of the variety.
