This is a good all round Chardonnay. Very lightly oaked so it is ok for those who don't like the oak but a hint of it if you do. The husband doesn't like oaky chardonnays and I do - this was a most happy middle ground. It's a 2011, and still a bit sharp I thought - it could do with a wee bit longer in the bottle although it's still quite, quite drinkable. Today's philosophical question is: Should one cellar a $10 bottle of wine? The other half was raving about the colour, it is the most fabulous golden hue. Don't attempt to drink without food, it needs some white meat or cheese to bring out the best in it. We had it with a chicken and spinach pasta with some Parmesan shaved over the top and it did the job very nicely. Given the current price, this is outstanding value for money. And no harm in stashing some away for 6-12 months, I reckon it will only get better.
