I normally drink my Savs pretty new, so this 2010 wine was a bit of a different experience for me. The typical Marlborough grassy notes aren't present - it's more along the lines of an intense tropical fruit salad. I would describe it as more autumnal than summer sauvignon! We'd made ourselves an upmarket version of fish and chips for dinner (crumbed terakihi, roast agrias and a green salad) and this went really well with it.
