I'm a big fan of Otago Pinot Noir, it's probably my current poison of choice. Another thing I like about Otago wines is their often interesting names. I think I'd probably sell my soul for the stuff, so I'm really liking the name of this one. The Soultaker is a nice example of the typical Otago Pinot, with plenty of cherry flavour. There's a sort of earthiness to it which makes it a good match for something with mushrooms in it, but seriously you can't go past a bottle of this with a lamb roast (or even just a chop if it's midweek). I bought some of the 2011 vintage in 2012, and at the time noted down it needed a bit more time - it's drinking good now though and still a great price.
