This is something different and I must say I Loved it. When poured from the glass it has dark black plum colours and you can tell right away it's going to be a heavy hitter. Smells of spice and rich vanilla come through immediately. I was surprised when I first tasted this as I wasn't expecting the initial sweet fruit flavours of blackberry. These were quickly followed by rich chocolate and a spicy pepper finish. Nice tannins in here too. The glass had blood red tears running down the side after each sip. This is a glorious, luxurious wine and i didn't want the bottle to finish. I give this Vineyard a big thumbs up as their Shiraz was also top quality. If you're interested in trying something different, and you like Aussie Shiraz, you will love this wine. 93/100 IMHO

Fantastic. Given the limited quantities of this available (largely sold out in Australia) it will be something quite different for your guests too!

I bought this as an end of semester treat and boy was it a good way to end it! The wine is literally blood red, it has a heady fruity nose with just a whiff of petrol, enough to intrigue you. It is full of rich berry flavours, has a strong tannin structure with an amazing long finish at the end.
A great alternative to Malbec or the meatier Shiraz styles. Inky dark in the glass with dusty blackberry fruit and integrated tannins. Not a fruit bomb - more than capable of complementing a winter casserole or char-grilled steak, and holding its own. Try a blind tasting on your red wine-loving friends - invite them to guess the grape and style!
A blue blood wine, does everything your reviewers say it should, with bells!
Needs a good breathe but when ready, whammo!
