89/100 - The Real Review
"Deep, dark red colour with a good tint of purple, the bouquet fresh and bold and primal, if slightly callow. The palate tracks the nose, and has good intensity of flavour, although the tannins are rather drying. The fruit is simple and plummy/herbal. A little cellar age might add more to it."
The Real Review

Durif, originally from France and known as Petite Sirah or Sirah. Long loved for its rich dark berried fruit flavours and oppulent soft palate.

Aromatic plummy and blackberry nose with an array of violets, mocha and vanillin. Palate: An intense, full bodied palate of plums, mulberries and violets, complemented by American oak sweetness, and an elegant tannin structure of support and power.

Pair with succulent beef cheeks with polenta, braised lamb shanks or savour the flavours with vintage cheddar cheeses.
