17.5/20 pts (85 pts) - Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, CandiceWineChat
"Deep ruby-red colour, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is softly vibrant, with aromas of cherry and redberry interweaved with a lightly smoky nuance and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of red cherry, redberry and blackberry melded with spice. Smooth, lightly grainy tannins provide a grip and framework; balanced, juicy acidity support the fruit and a moderately long finish. Match with beef stew and cured meat over the next 3-4 years. 14% alc, organic certified, vegan friendly. Dec 2022"

New exciting and delicious Spanish import!

Monastrell, also know as Mataro or Mouvedre. Most similar cousin is Syrah. Monastrell offers smoky deep red fruit flavours, black pepper and cocoa.

Monastrell from bush vines planted at a density of 1,600 vines per hectare. The grapes for this organic and vegan wine are sourced from vineyards grown according to organic growing criteria in a balanced, caring and sustainable way.

A very deep cherry-red colour. The nose reveals plenty of red berry and black fruit aromas with cherry, black plum, strawberry and dates coming to the fore. On the palate, red berry fruit and sweet black fruit come through well, together with dried figs and dates.

Excellent with charcuterie, grilled white meats, stews served with rice, or semi-cured cheese.
