4.5/ 90 Points Sam Kim

"The wine offers sweet fruit notes together with savoury complexity; the nicely fragrant bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, thyme, toasted almond and subtle game characters, leading to a juicy palate that is rounded and silky. It is well structured by chalky tannins, leading to a pleasingly dry finish. At its best: now to 2022."

An Italian grape variety from the Abruzzi region. A surprising number of Kiwi producers are reaping the rewards of this spicy and dry variety.

Always a favourite from this producer. Try this with some Italian fare to be really blown away.

This is a real GEM and certainly great value with 33% off. A cut above previous red wines from this region, and even though you are paying alittle more per bottle, it is certainly worth it! " A taste delight in every drop".

at $30 this is an outstanding wine for money. great layers with depth, not as overwhelming as other big blends of red. I find it leans towards a traditional shiraz but not as powerful, so it is great for most of the red meats or even just to go with light cheese and white meats, especially when you feel like something that gives more hits than pinot noir. great wine!
