In 1878, Terence Biscardo founded a wine merchant company, now known as Mabis srl. Like many of Verona's trditional enterprises, the marketing and maturing began with the wines from Verona and in the course of time the business expanded with wines from other regions in Italy. The Biscardo family still leads the company with great success to this day, as numerous awards from all over the world prove this. Twice Mabis wines received the rare award "Great Gold" at Mundus Vini!

This special wine from the Veneto region features a special technique called 'appassimento' a unique method, which has always characterized the production of wines of this area .This technique has its roots in the past and has been used since the Roman times. The same method is used for super premium Amarone wines

Over the centuries, this technique of “drying” the grapes before crushing was used and today means the production of the great wines.

To get an excellent wine, the Appassimento is essential. It is a very critical and delicate phase, also linked to the cycle of seasons. The grapes perfectly ripe and healthy are selected at the time of the hand picking. The thinnest bunches are chosen, with the berries not too close one to another, so that the air can circulate. The grapes are laid out in large perforated plastic boxes, to ensure excellent ventilation. The boxes are then stacked in the fruttaio, a large airy room and the grapes are periodically monitored so that the Appassimento takes place in a perfect way. The wine is then aged for serveral months in both stainless steel and large oak barrels.

Neropasso is a typical blend of 70% Corvinone,25%  Corvina and 5% Cabernet grapes. Characteristic of the Veneto region.

Bouquet is spicy with hints of cherry, black cherry and plum compote. A fine and velvety palate, persistent, with soft tannins and mouthwatering finish.

This wine is suitable for vegetarians and vegans
