95 points by Jane Faulkner of Halliday's Wine Companion

Huon Hooke "Spicy, sappy, oaky and rich bouquet with dark chocolate inflexions and lots of oak in evidence. The wine is very full-bodied, rich, dense and fleshy on the tongue, with masses of oak flavour and firm, slightly bitter tannins. A whopper; an oaky blockbuster which needs more ageing. (A blend of grapes from Henty, Heathcote, Strathbogie Ranges & King Valley)"

The Patricia Shiraz 2013 has a fantastic dark inky colour with vibrant purple hues. The nose is ripe with blackberry and blackcurrant, spice and liquorice characters, while the palate is intense and concentrated with great balance. In optimum cellaring conditions this wine will continue to develop over the next 5 to 8 years.

Even the Aussies can't buy this superb wine at this price. Powerful Shiraz from Heathcote, Victoria, this landmark wine honours the name of Patricia Brown, part of the founding family.
The nose is ripe with blackberry and currant fruits, spice and liquorice characters. The palate is rich and powerful with dominant pepper and plum flavours.

Named after Patricia Brown, the Patricia range is a combination of the best that we can do in viticulture and winemaking, and it is very special to the company and the Brown family. The wines must pass our strict selection criteria to be released, which is why we don’t release every vintage. The Patricia wines see the best oak and minimal handling to ensure all the flavour is retained in the bottle.
