"No idea just how old the old vines are but they are definitely contributing some rich and supple properties to the wine. Purple-garnet. Intense blackcurrant, stewed plums, licorice, dark chocolate. Moves with grace and a quiet deliberation, assured, too. Supple tannins star." James Halliday - 2021 Halliday Wine Companion

The grapes for Calabria Bros. Shiraz are from multiple vineyards in the Barossa Valley - a combination of estate fruit and growers.

Three generations of family winemaking ensure that the Calabria Bros. know great wine. The fruit is machine harvested and delivered for processing. It is fermented in the Calabria family’s original concrete vats for 7 days before being pressed off skins. Some components will undergo malo lactic fermentation in barrel and some in stainless. After 2 months aging in American oak the wine is blended, lightly fined and filtered before bottling

Dark brooding fruit aromas with cedar oak and hints of dark chocolate & plums. Palate: Chewy tannins on the palate, ripe sweet berries, vanilla cholocate & mulberry, plum flavours, finishing sweet luscious, a full bodied & fulll palate weight wine.
