4.5 Stars 91 Points - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

2020 Unravelled has an impressive nose with notes of raspberry jam and black doris plum. This follows through to the palate where it is wrapped with soft, grainy tannins and a savoury, leathery note builds on the fruit. Notes of vanilla come through on the finish. A touch wild and gamey, this wine has the ability to age as well as drinking beautifully in youth.

Grown in Carrick Towan and Cairnmuir Terraces vineyards, Bannockburn, Central Otago. The vineyard is tended by hand, allowing for careful management of individual vines, throughout the season.

Each parcel is hand-harvested, destemmed, and undergoes a wild fermentation, in tank, before being pressed and barreled down. Care is taken to monitor and adjust cap management to the unique conditions of each ferment. Matured in barrel for 10 months, 13% new oak.
