4 Stars - Yvonne Lorkin
"Seriously savoury and meaty on the nose, there’s an aspect of freshly-turned earth, smoke, tar and black olive on the nose, while on the palate it’s vibrant and freshly stacked with plum, dried herbs, liquorice and layered, grippy tannins. It’s a textural overload, a roast dinner in a glass and I’m here for it."

Classic Hawkes Bay Cabernet from an awesome vintage

A blend of 55% Merlot 36% Cabernet Sauvignon 9% Cabernet Franc from Clearview's Te Awanga & SH50 vineyards were separately fermented in open top fermenters for hand plunging through fermentation and aged for 9 months in French oak before assemblage & bottling.

Satisfying Cabernet aromatics with nicely integrated complexity. The palate retains a freshness with red berryfruit characters. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc.
