Cloudy Bay Pinot proves just what Marlborough can do with Pinot..stunning

winemaker notes
“a seamless structure and concentrated palate, framed with ripe silky tannins and complex spicy oak and herbal notes.”

Dark on the nose, with appealing aromatics of black cherry and bramble fruit.

The palate reveals layers of florals, gentle spice, melding with notes of boysenberry and doris plum and framed by finely realised, silky tannins and juicy acidity.

Pinot Noir fruit was all de-stemmed before being gravity fed into the open topped fermentation vessels. The grape skins were gently plunged with an average of 18 days skin contact. After fermentation the wines were matured in French oak for 11 months, of which 35% was new.

great cellaring potential of up to 10 years from vintage
