Native to the small Madiran appellation in south west France, the Tannat grape also makes full-blooded, age-worthy red wines in the high altitude vineyards of Argentina.

Don David Reserve Tannat is made from hand-picked grapes, and is aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. If you haven't tried a Tannat you are in for a treat. Probably the thickest skinned variety around, ageworthy and the healthiest?! Tannat contains much higher levels of antioxidants in its skins than other varieties. Much research has been done about red wine and heart health, Tannat features top.

The Don David Reserve Tannat has firm tannins and is full of character. This wine is a fantastic representation of the terroir to be found in Cafayate. The palate shows lots of dark chocolate and smooth flavours with a firm, pleasant finish.
