A great example of this classic Italian grape. Sangiovese or "San-jo-vay-say"

Garnet red in colour and intense on the nose with vibrant red fruit, cherries and herbal characters. On the palate, it has bright fruity notes of strawberry and morello cherry, with subtle vanilla characters from the oak. The wine is well balanced and medium-bodied with structured, firm tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish.

Perfect with Pizza/Pasta or anything with an Italian tomato sauce.

Made for early drinking, this wine is packed with juicy fruit characters – cherry, vanilla and blackberry with a balsamic note lingering at the finish. The palate is full bodied with good, supple tannins. This wine is well balanced with good structure and a long finish.

Zabu Il Passo (Italy) 2019 Nerello Mascalese

60% Nerello Mascalese and 40% Nero d'Avola. 

Once ripe the fruit is dried in the hot Sicilian sun. (Il Passo). Adding intensity and richness. This lasts 15-20 days by which time the grapes lose 15-20% of their weight, have increased sugar levels and are more concentrated. Harvested grapes are pressed and undergo long maceration before fermentation on the skins. Ageing takes place in French and American oak barriques lasting 6 months
