4 Stars - Michael Cooper Michael Cooper's Buyers Guide

The nose is packed with citrus blossom, red apples and fresh lime juice, whilst the palate is crisp yet intensely flavoured. An elegant wine with a touch of sweetness balanced by a firm acidity.

This is a single vineyard wine from Waihopai Vineyard. The vines are cane-pruned, cropped at a moderate level and were lightly leaf-plucked. The fruit condition at harvest was very good and the flavours were concentrated.

With its crisp acidity, this wine is a wonderful aperitif. It is also delicious as a contrast to rich foods such as patés and terrines or subtle-flavours white fish and other seafood. Enjoy with sushi too, salads and ‘green’ flavours such as jalapeno chilli, fresh herbs and dishes that require a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime.
