4 STARS - Michael Cooper Winestate Magazine Australia
"Offering good value, this barrel-fermented, lees-aged wine is full-bodied, with generous, ripe stonefruit flavours, woven with fresh acidity, and well-integrated oak adding complexity. Still very youthful"

18 POINTS - Joelle Thomson Drinksbiz
"Full-bodied, creamy and delicious, Main Divide Chardonnay always overdelivers on flavour and value for money. Handpicked grapes were whole bunch pressed into large French oak puncheons and fermented with wild yeasts then matured on yeast lees for nearly a year. It’s a consistently outstanding wine and extraordinarily good value for its modest price."

90 POINTS - Stephen Bennett MW
"An intense, intriguing, complex wine on the nose with a nice balance of fruit, and funk. Showing some zesty, quince paste, and yellow plum characters with leesy, white pepper, salted butter, and vanilla pod nuances. A ripe, generous, lively wine with plenty of crunchy, limey acidity but some noticeable alcoholic hotness on the finish."

93 POINTS - Cameron Douglas MS
"Aromas of toasty barrel with vanilla and brazil nut, roasted stone fruits and baked apple, citrus and brown baking spices. Fullbodied, creamy textured, youthful and delicious. A lovely example with just enough power and intensity, acidity and core of fruits to present a balanced and well made with flavours of oak and lees, baking spices and toasty wood on the finish. Best drinking from 2022 through 2026+."

Main Divide is the local name for the Southern Alps and is the backbone of the South Island, where grapes for Main Divide are exclusively sourced. Vineyards have been selected for their quality and ability to express unique regional flavours.

The nose is packed with an abundance of citrus and stone fruit, together with the tropical aromas of pineapple and guava. Interspersed also with floral notes reminiscent of honeysuckle and jasmine. The palate is concentrated and mouth-filling, yet balanced with refreshing acidity that complements its lingering dry finish.
