Gold Medal - Concours Général Agricole Paris 2020

The top of the range from Mas 0Iivier. A stunning, quality producer from the sub - region of Faugeres in the south of France.

The terroir, established on schist soil made up of ridges reaching 400m, is very favorable to quality vineyards. Hand harvested, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, from plot selections. Vinification takes place with carbonic maceration (Syrah) and long fermentation (Grenache, Mourvèdre). Aging for 12 months in new French oak barrels, fine-grained, followed by further aging in vats.

Deep color with purple reflections. An intense nose with notes of ripe black berries revealing after aeration more vegetal notes: pepper, incense, cardamom and chili.
A well-structured wine with fine and powerful tannins.

Roast rib of beef with porcini mushrooms.

Decant and serve at around 17-18 ° C.
Aging potential: up to 7 years.
