4 ½ Stars - Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"The 2018 vintage was French oak-aged (25 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is fragrant, fresh and savoury, with generous cherry, plum and spice flavours, oak complexity and fine-grained tannins. Open mid-2021+."  Michael Cooper

Maude are making waves with their Otago Pinots. This is their Estate wine made from hand harvested fruit, Queensberry and Lowburn vineyards. Very much a family-owned and hand-crafted enterprise.

Winery note
"The 2019 Maude is sourced from Central Otago’s premium sub regions, each contributing to this savoury, complex Pinot Noir. Aromas of dark cherry, plum and dried herbs team up with a palate that displays layers of dark fruit flavours entwined with velvety but structural tannins. Careful cellaring for 5 years will reward."
