4 ½ Stars - Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"The 2018 vintage was French oak-aged (25 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is fragrant, fresh and savoury, with generous cherry, plum and spice flavours, oak complexity and fine-grained tannins. Open mid-2021+."  Michael Cooper

So last year's vintage was a huge hit. The 2018 is tasting better than ever...

Maude are making waves with their Otago Pinots. This is their Estate wine made from hand harvested fruit, Queensberry and Lowburn vineyards. Very much a family-owned and hand-crafted enterprise.

Layers of ripe red and dark fruits, hints of violet, clove and cinnamon with a whole bunch of complexities. Medium to full bodied, the palate is voluminous where dark fruit flavours are supported by velvety tannins, creating a wine with structure and poise.

Everything you want from a top quality Pinot Noir and more.
