GOLD - NZ Wine of the Year Awards 2019
4.5 STARS - Bob Campbell 2020
Beautifully structured, with a core of sweet fruit balanced by gently drying tannins. Approachable now but with good cellaring potential. Great value at this price ($25)" (Bob Campbell MW)

The 2018 Cabernet Merlot has an amazing 36% new oak, a blend of French and American hogsheads, in which the wine was aged for 12 months. A full and generous style, it's a perfect fireside or BBQ red in the summer.

A rich full bodied wine, this traditional blend exudes intense blackcurrant, blackberry and plum flavours, layered with caramel and spicy cedary oak.  Ageing in quality oak has conferred a velvety smooth texture, giving this wine immediate appeal, or for judicious cellaring.
