4.5 Stars - Yvonne Lorkin, Yvonnelorkin.com
"I’ve got a feeling that news of how good this wine is could spread around the country faster than Twitter sharing the identities of a Covid-breaching couple seeking name suppression after being snapped in Wanaka. Powerfully aromatic, soaked in cherry and tamarillo, berry tea and buckets of dried herbs and spices and stacked with solid, muscular tannins – it’s not just a pinot party, it’s the Big Day Out, Rhythm & Vines, Northern Bass and the Mission Concert in your mouth."

5 Stars 93 Points - Sam kim Wine Orbit
"It’s beautifully ripe and immediately appealing on the nose showing sweet plum, dark cherry, warm spice and roasted hazelnut aromas with a hint of earthy mushroom. The palate delivers rounded mouthfeel and fleshy texture, wonderfully complemented by succulent fruit intensity and delightfully melded tannins, finishing silky and lingering. At its best: now to 2027"

A Pinot from an award winning and 100% family owned Marlborough Winery. Head winemaker was named as one of the world’s top 100 master winemakers in 2020 Drinks Biz Magazine

Fruit for this wine was sourced from vineyard sites within Marlborough’s Wairau and Southern Valleys. Picked at optimum ripeness and then cold soaked for 5-10 days in open top and stainless steel fermenters. Once fermentation kicked off, the ferments were hand plunged or pumped over 2-4 times a day. Around 5% whole bunches  were used to add aromatic lift, spice, and complexity. The wine was left on skins for 1 to 2 weeks post ferment to extract flavour, colour and tannin. Malo-lactic fermentation was left to occur naturally in Spring. The wine was matured in a mix of French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks for 9 months.

On the nose, this elegant Pinot Noir shows lovely red and dark fruit notes, with ripe cherry and plum, brambly spice and a touch of earthy, smokiness. The primary fruit theme continues through the palate, with the succulent red berry and fruit characters balanced by hints of subtle, woody spice, elegant mocha, and complex savoury elements.Soft, ripe, lingering tannins and a touch of creamy oak create harmony in this stylish wine. Dry, with a medium body, this naturally vibrant wine finishes with great structure and length.

Tried in our tasting room it really stacks up well! This is a one off deal don't miss out!!
