"The fragrant bouquet shows dark berry aromas with smoked game, leather, dried herb and walnut notes. Its beautifully weighted and lingering, displaying ripe fruit flavours backed by chalky tannins, finishing firm and savoury. A lovely traditional-style Chianti. At its best: now to 2024."

The Poggio Nicchiaia 2019 Nicchiaia is a fine example of a classic Chianti. Its also exclusive to Winesale.co.nz

The most commonly consumed wine in Italy, and interestingly, the most commonly consumed Italian wine in the world.Sangiovese grapes are the main component of Chianti's from Tuscany. Classic Chianti is a fairly translucent wines as Sangiovese has a thin skin. Displaying a ruby red color with flashes of bright burnt orange. Aromas of red cherries, herbs and a hint of Balsamic. Red and black cherry on the palate fresh acidity and fine tannins.

Chianti smells and tastes like Italy!

Enjoy with Italian dishes, pizza, red pasta, and cured meats.
