Part of the stunning selection of wines from Dão, Northern Portugal. Exclusive to Winesale.

Quinta Das Mais are a high altitue site of 600 metres above sea level. Under the reigns of Luis Lourenco the estate practices organincally and its wines are certified since 2012. The region has seen some attention recently and Luis and his team are striving to get it some well deserved recogition. The wines of Dão are unique, ageworthy and ecclectic. The region and Quinta Das Maias, Quinta Dos Roques in particular has pioneered to save their own indigenous varieties such as Jaen. The region has been referred to as the Burgundy of Portugal with complex and ageworthy wines being produced.

Aromas of plums, Blackberries, Charcoal, and Cedar. Intensely flavoured and complex palate with succulent black fruit, molasses, florals and graphite like tannins. Mind blowing finish and length. Dry and juicy.

Coming into its own but will certainly age well gracefully for a further 3-5+ years.
