5 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Gorgeously fruited and perfumed with dark plum, sweet cherry, floral and subtle spice aromas, it's succulent and supple in the mouth offering excellent fruit purity together with silky texture and polished tannins. Charming and highly appealing. At its best: now to 2029."

Rocky Point is crafted by internationally experienced NZ winemaker Paul Pujol who has presided over all Prophet's Rock wines since returning home from his travels circa 2008. Their Bendigo vineyards consistently yield fruit with dense, dark flavour and superb chalky tannins. Hand-picked fruit, indigenous ferment and use of quality French barrels are central to this Pinot that entirely over delivers for the price. 1984 cases were made.

A vibrant and structured Pinot Noir. Fruit is sourced from the ridiculously steep and very rocky vineyard on the north-facing slopes above Lake Dunstan. The grapes from this low-yielding vintage were handpicked, wild-fermented in small lots and aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. Always a very perfumed Pinot Noir, this wine has fine tannins and an elegant profile making it a great food wine and a great candidate for further cellaring.
