5 Stars 94/100 -  Sam Kim Wine Orbit April 2020
"Gorgeously fruited and inviting, the wine shows Black Doris plum, ripe cherry, vanilla, hazelnut and subtle spice aromas on the nose, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate that's silky and persistent. It's flavoursome and satisfying with elegant complexity, offering fabulous drinkability. At its best: now to 2025." Sam Kim

The grapes were sourced from the two Prophet’s Rock Estate vineyards in the Bendigo sub-region, home to some of the steepest blocks in Central Otago.  Elegant vines grow on top of an underlay of schist rock providing high minerality and spice to the grapes, whilst above the surface we see an abundance of wild thyme.

Brilliant ruby in colour the Rocky Point 2019 shows bright red berry, cherry, floral and spice aromas on the nose leading on to a smooth velvety palate. Here the rich fruit flavours are complemented by spice, mineral and dried herb notes leading on to a long rich finish. A versatile food wine that will complement a wide range of cuisine, this wine is a great match with lamb, game and salmon and will continue to provide great enjoyment over the next 4-8 years.
