93 Points 5 Stars - Sam kim Wine Orbit (2019 vintage)
"Splendidly ripe and seductively complex, showing sweet plum, vanillin oak, malt chocolate, dark spice and potpourri aromas on the nose. The wonderfully expressed palate displays plush mouthfeel and velvety tannins, backed by opulent fruit flavours, finishing long and expansive. At its best: now to 2027."

From one of the most exciting wine regions in California. Produced from mature vineyards with 50+ year old vines. This Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel is an intense, full-bodied wine with dark fruits, cherry, and spice. Lingering tannins over a long, smoky finish.

The ladybug, the brand icon, is a natural predator of harmful vineyard insects. “Natural predation” is one of many eco-friendly strategies employed in the vineyards to help limit the use of chemical pesticides.

The 2020 growing season started with very little rainfall in California. This led to an exceptionally dry and moderately cool winter. These two factors accounted for a late start to the growing season. The spring was mild, but a few unseasonably warm days in June pushed maturation back to its normal timeline. Harvest began mid-August where only the finest fruit was selected.

Best food match with short ribs or a juicy burger.
