Soho White Label (Marlborough) 2018 Pinot Noir
17.5/20 - Raymond Chan
"Dark-hearted light ruby-red colour, pale on the rim. The nose is elegant in concentration with aromas in the cooler spectrum, showing red cherry fruit entwined with fresh herbs. The aromatics build to form a firm core with dark-red berry and violet floral nuances. Medium-bodied, the palate is sweetly-fruited with red cherry flavours melded with fresh herbs. The fruit is enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity and supported by light, supple tannin extraction. The wine flows smoothly, unfolding dark-red fruit flavours and red florals as it carries with good linearity to a lingering finish. This is a juicy, sweet-fruited Pinot Noir with cool cherry and herbal flavours on a fresh palate and light structure."

"It is gently lifted on the nose showing red cherry, cranberry, thyme, mushroom and toasted nut aromas, followed by a juicy palate that is bright and smooth. The wine delivers attractive fruit intensity and vibrancy, beautifully supported by silky texture and polished tannins. Approachable and immediately appealing."
Attractively fruited & beautifully fragrant, oozing juicy red berries, red florals & liquorice. Lovely intensity with fine grained tannins, elegant oak undertones & savoury nuances....Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!
