There are lifted aromas of ripe, dark berries along with subtle plum and cafe creme mocha and spicy overtones of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove aromas. This is a rich, full-bodied wine with intense flavours of ripe dark cherry, plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit, with attractive spicy, charry oak characters of coffee and chocolate. The palate is well balanced with a silky, subtle soft, yet full texture to the mid-palate. The finish is persistent with lingering velvety tannins.
Will reward careful cellaring in ideal conditions to 2023, possibly beyond.
