Carmenere - recognised as Chile's own red varietal, and this is a stonkingly fine example of this Merlot-esque grape.

The grapes come from Chile's winegrowing heartland - the Central Valley, and are expertly managed to enhance the fruit characteristics of each individual grape variety. A Carmenere which is high intensity ruby red and bright in color. On the nose it is expressive and intense, distinguished with notes of blackberry, plum, and black pepper. On the palate these aromas mix with notes of vanilla, coffee and chocolate from careful oak aging. Fresh and persistent finish.

Winesale has been working hard to bring to New Zealand a very well made, easy drinking and unbeatable value range of Chilean wines. We truly believe the The Terra Vega range, from Lus Filipe Edwards hits the mark! A string of medals and awards behind them...

"New World Producer of the Year" - Sommelier Wine Awards (2016)
"Chilean Producer of the Year" - International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) (2012, 2017)
