“Fresh, varietal, fruity and quite a vibrant bouquet. Flavours include crisp red and green apple, pear and tropical fruits. There’s an herbaceous layer with fresh green herbs and hay, a touch of tobacco then more fruit to contrast. Plenty of crispness and weight. Well made and ready to enjoy with best drinking from today and through 2022.” Cam Douglas MS, April 2020.

Fruit was sourced from the Ward Valley Estate and two other vineyards within the lower Awatere and Ward areas of Southern Marlborough. Upon reaching optimum flavour, development and ripeness, the fruit was transported to the winery with haste and pressed off with minimum skin contact. The resulting juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and zingy acidity.

This classic Marlborough sauvignon blanc shows passion fruit, lime and lychee over melon and gooseberry. The palate is equally gorgeous with bright fruit intensity and vibrant mouthfeel, finishing long and very tasty.

This is top class Savvy!
