Gold Medal - Berlin Wine Trophy 2021

"From sandier soils than the other Terroirs of the Barossa selections, the 2018 Terroirs of the Barossa Ebenezer District Shiraz features some vaguely floral elements on the nose, alongside hints of red berries and ground allspice; vanilla and cedar notes only emerge on the finish. Full-bodied and richly textured on the palate, with a long, elegant finish, this is perhaps the most complete of the various Terroirs bottlings this year. Drink Date: 2021 - 2035"

"Medium deep colour. Fragrant red currant, dark plum mulberry aromas with roasted coffee, herb garden notes. Generous and supple with fresh evolved red currant, dark plum mulberry fruits, roasted chestnut notes, fine looseknit chocolaty textures and integrated acidity. Finishes grainy firm with a plume of fruit sweet notes and a kick of aniseed."

95 Points - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Offering fabulous fruit purity and intensity, the sweetly expressed bouquet shows Black Doris plum, mixed berry compote, toasted spices and chocolatey oak characters, leading to a succulent palate that’s plush and graceful. It’s delectable and hugely appealing. At its best: now to 2038. "

To ensure the unique character of this sub region is exemplified in the wine, small open fermenters and our basket press were employed to gently extract the wine.
