Alpha Domus (Hawkes Bay) 2021 Wingwalker Viognier

Winery description
"Named after the brave and daring aerial acrobatics of the 1920’s, you have to be a little adventurous to try this exotic and enchanting variety, but once you have, you’ll be smitten. Showing varietal purity, it’s perfumed with floral aromas of white flowers and stone fruit. The palate is delectable with a silky texture and lingering finish.
A beautiful compliment to your spicy dishes, white meats and risotto, or delightful as an aperitif."

Coopers Creek (Gisborne) 2016 Cook County SV Viognier

3.5 Stars & Value for Money - Michael Coopers Buyers Guide  May 2017
"Creamy textured wine, medium-bodied, with lychee, pear and apple flavours, showing a touch of complexity, and a finely-balanced finish.” Michael Cooper

We are big fans of this hard to say and hard to grow varietal...  VEE...ON....YAY! Big, rich and dry. Coopers Creek make a damned fine example.

Part of Coopers creek, Single Vineyard series. This offers tremendous value and is drinking beautifully.
Winemakers Notes
"Cook County was the early 20th Century name for the entire East Cape region. We have used handpicked, whole bunch pressed fruit from Delwyn and Doug Bell’s vineyard in Hexton to craft our 2016 SV Viognier. Delwyn and Doug are meticulous in the vineyard and they were assisted by a favourable growing season. The fruit was harvested in the morning and then chilled before trucking to Auckland for processing. The wine was tank fermented and then stayed in tank for a number of months on lees. It was bottled on 6 December 2016."

Pierrick Harang (France) 2019 Viognier Cuvee Balthazar

91 Points 4.5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"Elegant and beautifully fragrant, showing white flesh peach, apricot and rockmelon characters on the nose with hints of floral and spice. The palate delivers succulent fruit flavours and silky texture, leading to a lengthy supple finish. At its best: now to 2023."

Beautiful Viognier from the South of France. A superb example of  Viognier with a history of awards and gold medals and one we whole heartedly recommend.
A wine with an intense and complex nose of flint stone, apricot, mandarin orange, tropical fruits, white flowers and a touch of vanilla. Crispy and concentrated, unctuous, fresh and very fruity. Long, deep, fruity and mineral end.
