90 Points & 4.5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"Delightfully fruited and elegantly fragrant, the bouquet shows green pear, apple, subtle spice and dried flower aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate offering delicate fruit intensity together with flowing texture and juicy acidity. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2021

"Picture of an ‘earth mother’ with a stylised star in the vicinity of where the womb is, the name ‘earth mother’, organic written five times on the label plus a certified organic logo. I get the point. In the zone for gris. Parisian almond sweet nuttiness leads ripe pear scents – flavours also very similar to this. Soft, lightly greasy texture, clean ripple of mandarin acidity, good length and balance with a faintly nutty/marzipan finish. It’s very much in the zone, drinks a charm, is good"

We grabbed some of this stunning Pinot Gris, made by top winemaker Tom Hutchinson of Rock Ferry Wines.

Sourced from fully certified Organic vineyards and made using minimal additions. Made with fruit from the Valleys of Marlborough, New Zealand this wine has been crafted by the elements and shaped by the vast landscape of its home. Hand-picked into small bins and chilled before transportation to the winery, this wine saw a cool fermentation in stainless steel before extended maturation on lees to build texture and complexity.

A lovely aroma of freshly baked pears with vanilla custard make the nose of this wine so alluring. It’s followed by a generous, plush and silky smooth palate that moves slowly to reveal subtle stone fruit characters.
