"Full, deep purple, even colour throughout. The nose is rich with dark herbs, cherry and blackberry, with a suggestion of floral fragrance. Full-bodied, red berry and cherry fill the palate, along with hints of dark herbs. Fine-grained tannins reflect an earthy nuance and a slightly smoky texture. Lively acidity provides vibrancy to the rich palate. Match with grilled meat or beef ribs over the next 3-4 years. Fermented to 12.5% alc, aged in stainless steel and concrete vats. Apr 2023"

Promoting the age old traditions of the region. The Gaudou Exception is a great intro into South west French reds. 100% Malbec from the Lot Valley. Deliciously full of flavour, floral and savoury. Deep colour with purple tinges. Very floral nose (violet, peony) on a fresh fruity background (blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry...). A supple, tender wine with a delightful freshness. Beautiful aromatic balance between fruit and flowers. A charming malbec.
