Five Stars & 93 Points - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Expressing finesse and complexity with ripe plum, floral, clove and smoked game nuances, it’s supple and finely textured offering velvety texture and plump mouthfeel backed by polished tannins. Beautifully crafted and expressed."

94 Points - Cameron Douglas MS
"Really lovely bouquet, captivating, varietal and youthful with aromas of fresh cherry and dark plum, a savoury complexity with dried herb and silty mineral soil layers. Some fine toasty oak and moments of red flowers. On the palate - lots of texture and energy, a core of fruit flavours that reflect the nose. Firm coarse silk tannins and medium+ acidity along with a great fruit profile makes for a delicious wine, ready for drinking from 2022 through 2028."

Gladstone Vineyard, planted in 1986, is located in Gladstone; the central sub-region of the Wairarapa valley. The vineyards are planted along the river terraces of the Ruamahanga River, which has a unique free-draining soil profile of clay over stony silt loams. The microclimatic conditions of the vineyards are semi-maritime, which experiences very cool springs, extended sunshine hours and high exposure to UV light, which provides ideal conditions for the ripening of premium wine grapes.

Gladstone Vineyard is a boutique Wairarapa winery recently the brand has been revamped and is now under the helm of Eddie Macdougal and the Flying Winemaker group.
A fabulous price for this, the Estate wine usually selling at $40. Save big while stocks last. Great Pinot Buying.

Winery description
"Red, purple hue. The nose has fragrant characters of blackberry and dark cherry with floral undertones. Beautifully balanced by savoury oak notes, and sage characters. The palate is refined and tight, with real texture. Fruits form early but the wine is carried by a lovely savoury tone and whole bunch structure and tannins."
