Based in Veneto, an increasingly important wine region in Italy's northeast. The estate today is highly formidable. Fruity red Valpolicellas, intense, rich Amarones, refreshing Soaves and sparkling Prosecco.

The family have been producing wine in the region for over 350 years. The Guerrieri family owned a centuries-old estate and cellars in Bardolino on Lake Garda, and the Rizzardis' vineyards in Negrar just 25kms to the east. In 1913 the two families came together through marriage and Guerrieri Rizzardi was formed.

Classic Valpolicella; 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone, 10% Merlot, 5% Rondinella & 5% Croatina.

Winery Description "The Classico is made using grapes from parts of the Pojega (Cru) vineyard and the grapes from the Calcarole and Rovereti Crus that are not dried for Amarone. As these are Cru vineyards the quality of the fruit is very high. Vine age ranges from 4 to 30 years. A vintage that has produced a refined Valpolicella, very pure, dark berry, plumy fruit with fine grained tannin providing the structure. Medium bodied with some complexity and a long sapid finish."
