There’s no mistaking the strong scents of roasted plum and blackberry then an earthy clay and stone layered followed by toasty oak with clove and vanilla. On the palate dry, spicy and fruity with flavours of plums and black cherry, black berry, kalamata olive and tobacco. Firm tannins and plenty of acidity and mild toasty wood flavours. Well made and ready to drink. I recommend to enjoy this wine with food. Best drinking from late 2021 through 2025

Kahurangi’s Regional Selection wines strive to represent the best varieties from well known NZ wine regions. A blend of 76% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Cabernet Franc from the Bridge Pa subregion of the Hawke’s Bay. Medium ruby with a velvety purple hue. Punchy and complex aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, currant, and oak derived spice with hints of mocha on the nose. A plush mouthfeel with flavours of dark berries, red plum, warming spices and dusty tannins followed by lifted acidity refreshing the palate. Great value for money!

Attractively fruited and inviting on the nose showing Black Doris plum, floral, bay leaf, game and almond characters. The palate displays supple mouthfeel together with succulent fruit flavours, nicely framed by polished tannins. Well proportioned and elegantly flavoursome with a lengthy juicy finish.
