Chris Darling and Bart Arnst teamed up in 2007. After making great wine for other people they decided to make great wine for themselves under The Darling label. Using only certified organic grapes to make their wines, they find it increases quality and gives certainty to the integrity of the wines. With over 45 years of winemaking experience between them, Chris and Bart make regional, complex wines, that drink well on any occasion. Winning winery of the Year in the NZ Organic Wine Awards in 2019.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from organic vineyards in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough.

Aromas of citrus and pear showing through on the nose. It has great drinkability due to the freshness on the palate. The pear and citrus notes continue on in the mouth, while being luscious it adds great length of flavour. This wine will drink well anytime complementing white meats, salads and seafood
