93 Points - Cameron Douglas MS
"Fruity, floral, mineral and varietal bouquet with aromas of apple blossoms, grapefruit, white peach and a delicate oyster shell mineral scent. There’s oak aromas as well with a light vanilla and lean toasty barrel layer. On the palate - dry with medium++ weight, a satin texture with contrasting acidity and flavours of peaches and chantilly cream, vanilla and baking spices. Balanced and well made, ready to enjoy upon purchase and through 2026."

Liquidated Stock, Winery Clearance

The Winery has sold up. This is the last chance to buy some amazing deals from Lone Goat Vineyard, Canterbury.

Located in the original Giesen Wines headquarters Burnham School Rd just outside Christchurch, and producing wine for almost 30 years. The property was renamed Lone Goat Vineyard by Matt and Marion. The name was inspired by their goat Ella, who lived next door to the vineyard.

Its low-yielding Chardonnay vines are around 25 years of age. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, then prepared with minimal intervention before bottling,

A funky, weighty, waxy and creamy Chardonnay thats really coming into its own. Great value. Aromas of quince, white peach and lemon zest. The broad, creamy palate is overlaid with earthy characters, stone fruits and notes of vanilla. Citrus minerality giving structure and length.
