5 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"It's gorgeously fruited and inviting on the nose showing golden peach, mango, vanilla and roasted hazelnut characters. The palate displays excellent weight and creamy mouthfeel together with rich texture and mellow acidity, making it delectable and lingering. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim

Longbush Wines is a family owned and operated winery. Owner John Thorpe has been winemaking for over 30 years.

The Longbush wines, take their name, from a winding stretch of native forest along the Waimata river. This area of Longbush is owned by John’s sister, Dame Anne and her husband Jerry Salmond, and has been restored into an eco-sanctuary for NZ native birds and plant species.

The Longbush Chardonnay is a winner! Yellow stonefruit and nutty characters on the nose. The palate is mouthfilling and generous, textured and creamy displaying flavours of yellow peach, pineapple and cashew. Delightful.
